the only other person who has had their steering wheel dyed is Pete00... his sponsers did it. you can find him at www.c7performance.com [ c7performance.com] he runs the site.

VSGTS14, what kind of a pro shop does this type of work. It's obviously not something a body shop or a regular mechanic shop is going to be able to do. An upholstery shop? Where did you have yours done? I'm interested in dying my steering wheel also.

I am not sure... My dad's Toyota and Chevy dealers have a Mobile Auto Restoration Service (M.A.R.S. Man is what he is called) guy come in and fix paint jobs on cars, install spoilers, that sort of small body work. It just happens that he has what you need to dye leather, he also sells the GTS emblems I have in my seats as well as TONS of others for any type of car.
He knew how to dye leather and had the necessary hardware to do it...he has dyed his seats in his SUV and has dyed my brother's old Tundra seats... I had him do my steering wheel and door insert padding... he still needs to go over them to make them really bright red and needs to take the steering wheel off to get behind it... because the dye is air brushed on, just like you would use to paint something.
I think you could ask your dealership if they have any auto service that comes in to fix cars or ask them where they send their cars to fix the paint or install parts. I am sorry that I don't know who can do this, I was just lucky this guy knew how to do it.
