anyone ever swap out a steering wheel before?

is it more difficult to swap out on Celica then an Eclipse? I've got a friend who has already done a few Eclipse and was just going to take my car to him to swap the steering wheel - I personaly dont know squat about doing it

I heard that after all the screws and airbag are removed, you would need a special tool to pull it out. I will leave it to the pros on this one.

changing the steering wheel is easy i have done a bunch of times. It's all the same once you get the airbag off there will be a couple screws. i think 2 or 3. take them out. Then get a steering wheel pull and it will have two long screws thread them into the steering wheel, and then take the really long screw and thread it into the middle and tighten till the wheel pops off. then put the new one on.

Steering wheel pull... that's the tool I am talking about. Where can you get one of those?

i read somewhere you have to be careful of the airbag deploying.. something like it might go off even when disconnected from power source because it has some kind of backup power.
