i've decided to mold on some BRS flares and i just spoke to my tyre dude whos gonna hook me up with some 19s. Obviously im gonna need really wide rims to fill up the new guards/fenders. Problem is he thinks that i will have to cut my guards/fenders to allow for clearance of the new rims. i guess these make sense since my new rims will probably stick out like 2-3 inches past the present fenders.

so my question is how much of my fender do your think i will need to cut off? i was looking at the shape of my fender and the way i figure it, i will only have to but the top half of the fenders and not the 'sides' of them since there is no clearance issues with there. i hope this is the case coz its the 'sides' of the fender that hold the bolts to my bodykit. Any ideas ppl? confused confused

Do U need spacers or just really wide wheels/tires or all three to get a show car look or can you just not mess with spacers at all and have the fenders going? Cuz I was actually looking into getting them myself.

thanks heaps isaac! but some dude just sold me his and i ended up paying $175 for them shipped coz i hadnt heard from you in awhile...NOOOOO!!!!! but i really appreciate you going out of your way to help me out! thumbsup

But actually my question was about the fenders...basically how much metal needs to get cut away to give allowance when the car tilts( during turns ) apparently if you dont and the wheel hits the fender at high speeds, the fender can buckle or the tyre gets stuffed..

hold the flairs up to your car... dray a greese-line around the on the fender wall, under the flairs... now you have the line of how much to cut smile

another good way would be to check the size of your new wheels and the size of your drop... and then cut acordingly thumbsup
