ok just got back from putting the front sway bar on. took me 3 hours and cost me 15$ for the lift, but i would rather do that then pay someone 70-100 to install it. of course i have it set to the hard position, would not have it any other way. seems to rail pretty good so far, only driven it 4 miles so far. and even then i still had my toolbox in the back, so i could not go all out. it was blue when i put it in, but it is all greasy now. one thing i found, is they put a grease fitting on top of the bushing, but how the hell are you supposed to reach it lol. you cant. was kind stressing when the rack bolts did not want to go in. that took 30 minutes on them alone. i'll take it out soon and get a better feel as to how the mod helped. for my suspension mods i have..
sprint springs 1.8" drop all the way around APR front strut bar Hotchkis rear camber correction kit Hotchkis sway bars exel tz-5's with kuhmo 711's @ 215/45r17 i have felt some slip with the tires, but since they are not "z" speed rated, i would expect that. i have not tried to auto-x it yet, so no big deal. if i was gonna auto-x it i would have 205/40zr17's there is not much top end at an auto-x event, so you dont need the big circumfrence

Make sure you torqued those bolts that hold up the cross member/sub frame to spec.

does the celica come with stock sway bars? yes, but there is a huge difference with aftermarket. any time you have a vehicle with 4 wheel independant suspension, it will have sway bars, or you would not be able to turn, now you can disconnect them for 1 of 2 reasons. only one would apply to the celi, which is drag races. the other is rock crawling, which i surely hope no one would try to to on a celi

everything i got will be seat of pants things. i will never put the fronts on the soft setting. life is too short not to play hard . but so far i noticed it being a little better with the rear sway alone, and today on the drive home, it seemed a lot tighter going around corners. no lean whatsoever on a left turn from a stoplight, felt kinda like a go-kart

the rears slide out before the front. turns a lot better. even if you take a quick lane change, you can feel a big difference. i take the wife's car out and it is all wallowy, screeching tires. huge difference

The hotchkis sways owns all. I love the way they make the car handle. SO much stiffer.
Get the TRD Rear strut bar. It makes a little difference.

Or the hyper motive because the TRD rear strut bar is not easily removeable and the hyper motive one is, esecially for those days when you gotta throw all your crap in your trunk
