I need to install a tail light converter on my 2000 Celica GTS 6 speed so I can rent a uhaul trailer for towing my motorcycle, and I'm having a hard time figuring out which wires coming out of the tail lights are the right turn signal, left turn signal, park/tail lights, and the brake lights. I tried reading the electrical diagrams in the stickies here but i just could not make sense of them.

coming out of the passenger side tail light i see 5 wires:
White w/black stripe
Green w/white stripe
Green w/yellow stripe
solid green
Red w/black stripe

and coming out of the driver side tail light i see 5 wires:
White w/black stripe
Green w/white stripe
Green w/black stripe
solid green
Red w/black stripe

I'm guessing the green w/yellow stripe on the passenger side and the green w/black stripe on the driver side are the turn signals on their respective sides since they are the only two wires that are different between each side, but what about the tail lights and brake lights?

Also, I could not find any information about whether the electronics in this car are safe with using a direct splice in converter so maybe one of you all can chime in. The converter I am using is Hopkins pt# 48925.

Last, is there a good ground anywhere near the rear of the car I can easily access and use for this?
