Hi Guys,

I did not find any Thread related to the aftermarket Coolant Reservoir Tank that are sold on eBay, Amazon, etc..
I saw some videos on youtube of other cars with this aftermarket reservoir tanks, the reason I'm asking is because this will be the 2nd tank that breaks on my 2000 celica GTS.
The plastic OEM tanks doesnt seem to hold enough heat when you push hard the 2zz on drag (at least on my case).
I want to listen opinions regarding this issue, what is your experience on Coolant Reservoir Tanks in modified engines.

I don't full understand your question but if you are melting the tank it would be better to insulate it from the heat rather than change the type. Also are you using the correct Toyota coolant (Red) as if not this could be the cause of your problem. I understand the newer Pink will also work but you should not run it with water and ordinary antifreeze.

Andy

Thanks for the reply andy, I'm talking about the tank itself, these are some samples: https://www.google.com/search?q=gen...HZFYDPgQ_AUICSgB&biw=360&bih=559
These are replacements for the oem plastic tanks, I need some feedback on these

I think the coolant tank is part of the coolant circuit and is pressurised in a Celica. So it is not just an overflow tank, coolant passes through it. I don't know if you will be able to configure any of these tanks to do that. Unfortunately this is outside of my experience.

Regards,
Andy
