Okay so long story short. Ive spent the last 3 weeks swapping my engine outside...in canada. I finaly got everything all together and when i put the battery back in and tried to start it up. Nothing. Not even a click. All tge electrical worked (lights, radio. Etc) the tranny was the tranny i had in it originally. And i took the engine out of my other celica i blew the clutch on.
I dont even know were to start. My cars slowly getting burried in snow and its getting harder to work on and keep everything dry.
I have a 2000 gt automatic. That had a gts motor swap done to it when i bought it. I spun a rod and wore out too much of the crank. So i took the engine out of a gts standard. Bolted it to my transmission and wired it up exactly the way it was before. Put a brand new battery in. And nothing. No sound from hood at all when turning the key.

I also just realized i can put it in park and push it forward or backward... did i screw up the transmission? The motor and flywheel still turned after i hooked up the tranny to the engine..
Please some advice might just save me from parting out my favorite car.

"All tge electrical worked"
Is this a typo? Are you saying that the electrical "works now" or "worked before" ?
Are you getting any clicks at all from your alternator?
Have you taken an electrical test-light to each of your major connections?
How is your fuel transport? What about the rest of your fluids? Are they frozen?
Do you have any guesses about your engine being seized?
Kind of difficult to guess whats going on, when not actually looking at it, and that you've already done so many swaps to it.
I'm not going to say, troubleshoot some more, but..

I meant. All the electrical works now. And before aswell. The engine ran perfect before in the other car. (I have 3 celicas) so i know the engines good. I can turn it over by hand on the pulley.
I hooked everything back up the exact way the previous engine swap was. Everything in the car/from the other car worked before i did the swap. I changed all fluidson a warmer day. And the engine was only un hookee for a day and a half.
I can put the key in and click it once it turns on the radio. I click it twice the fans and dashboard all come on. HIDs and highbeams and LEDs all shine bright. I click it to the third position to start it and literally nothing but the click from the key turning in the ignition is heard. Lights dont flicker. If i hold thekey in the on position the lights flick off and the radio turns off and on. But again no sound at all from the engine. If i had a bad starter it should still click right? I have a brand new battery ( about 5 hours old). I can crankvthe engine and flywheel by hand with the pulley. I dont know were to start. I dont have the crane anymore so of its something with the tranny or engine im screwed.
And no i dont have one of those wire checker devices. I just dida visual inspection. And sorry for typos i just got a new phone. Tiny keyboard.

Well i messed around all day in a blizzard and it turned out my shifter cable was off slightly and the car couldnt go into park. So i was 1mm away from it clicking into park.
Anyhoo. Fired up without a hitch but now it sounds like shit and almost sounds like somethings grinding and its reving up alot on its own. Like idleing at 3000 and if i touch the gas slightly for a second it damn near redlines itself and doesnt stop for a couple seconds. I tried putting it in drive and it idled normally for until i hit the gas it then reved way up and almost shot me foreward before i shut it off.Could this just be an issue with fluids and dirt working its way through.

Sorry to hear your problems.
Did you adjust the throttle cable properly?
