I have a 2002 Toyota celica gt. It's blowing white smoke which we figured go with it and change the gasket. Well changed the gasket . did spark plugs other odds and ends. But once I crank it up it still blows clouds of white smoke. At this point I'm thinking just buy a new engine. But was wondering to hear some suggestions on what I could check or possibly do besides buying a whole new engine anything will be nice. I don't know every little thing about this car. Thank you in advance .

One of the main causes of white exhaust smoke and coolant loss is a cracked or warped cylinder head, a cracked engine block, or head gasket failure caused by overheating. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine.

How is your engine temperature? are you having to keep adding more coolant/antifreeze?

It doesn't over heat . but I also haven't driven it besides in the yard and let it run for a bit. But no over heating and my coolant seems to stay at the same level. That's what gets me is any other case the vehicle would over heat have milky looking oil or have to keep adding coolant. My brother hooked it up to machine and checked the compression on rings after replacing them . originally what started this was he was driving and ended up going I think from 5th gear to 3rd or first then it started acting up idled rough the smoking started after 2 weeks of it being here after that. He replaced the rods because they were bent. Replaced injectors.

But since we've changed the head gasket and everything we have not tore back into it. Only because there's quote few things it possibly could be and before jumping into it again trying have a few things in minD to try
