Hi, first post and it's inevitably a mistake by myself.
Tonight I removed the splitter boxes that came with my front component speakers (I have been running the woofers through these for a few months now) but now I am getting no noise from either the front or rear speakers.
The radio still turns on fine but no response from speakers on either radio or cd player
I did get a weird beeping noise kind of similar to the reverse tone from the rear of the car twice during the process, does this have any significance?
Stupidly I did not disconnect the battery as i wasn't expecting to do anything more than check the connections... do the symptoms above indicate i may have blown something (please not the speakers) by not doing so? I haven't been able to check the fuses yet as i left all my tools at work and can't work out how the fuse remover clip thing works to pull out the mini fuses!
Only found this site tonight and all the information is great! Thanks in advance for the help.
EDIT It's a gen 7 facelift and entering the "diagnosis mode" on the stock head unit returns P160 > chec > P190 if you cycle the tuning button.
