Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance Help on Engine Misfiring

Hi,

I need help. I have a 2001 Celica GT. Car seems to run normally at low speeds and RPMs below 3000. When I accelerate or speed up though, the car jitters and won't accelerate smoothly. It's like your riding a horse where it keeps on jerking. Now from what I read (and I'm no expert at all), the engine seems to be misfiring. The car also gives out a lot of smoke and I can always smell smoke when I get off the car.

I already tried the ff:
1. replaced all spark plugs
2. clean the MAF sensor
3. just recently had my oli changed and air filter
4. did a fuel injector test where you remove the electrical connections of each injector to see if idling will become rough,
5. Seafoam

I am totally out of ideas. Anyone know what might be wrong with my car or what I can do to diagnose better?

So I also did a compression test:

Dry test: each cylinder tested at around 150 psi.

Wet test: cylinder 1 at 190 psi, cylinder 2 at 220 psi, cylinder 3 at 190 psi, cylinder 4 at 190 psi.

Anyone hs an idea what my car's issue might be?
