Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance High rev issue after cleaning throttle body and iacv

Hi guys I have cleaned the throttle body of my car which is the 7th generation celica and after putting everything back together it's giving high rev issue. I have gone over and over so many time to check if I have put things in right place but had no luck. After the car is hot the rev goes down to 800 to 1000 and then starts revving up and down while driving. Everything is in the right place so what could have gone wrong? Any ideas?

Problem solved guys took me three days to figure out what it was. When I cleaned the throttle body I opened out the iacv out as well and the the solenoid off it aswell. The problem was that when I put everything back together I tightened the screws that's holding the solenoid to the iacv too much which stopped the shaft inside the iacv from opening and closing the valve. I loosened the screws and things went back to normal. Hope this helps you guys out there who is having this same problem. Cheers😀
