1991 Celica GT.

Right so, I first installed the stereo fine temporarily. It had a cut harness. But I wanted to use butt connectors so I went to reinstall it. I was overly confident and must have touched the ground to something bad or...something. So then the stereo didn't work when properly connected and the lights on the gauges (the ones controlled by the dimmer switch), clock, and dome lights stopped working.

Then I checked under the hood and it showed I blew out the 20A dome fuse. Okay, so I replaced it. Now the clock works...dimmer switch still didn't light up anything. Radio could play music on the radio, however when I plugged in my phone to play music, the music sounds distorted and muffled. Yet the radio sounds fine.

Also when I turn my headlights on, the lights to the clock dim about 80%. Sometimes the turn signals are weak. I've checked all the 10A, 15A and 20A fuses, I'm pretty sure. Anyone have any ideas?

did you replace the blown fuse with a new, same/recommended amperage fuse?

Also, have a quick read through this post and its links -

EDIT: Never mind my links. I just noticed your Celica was a 1991 5th gen model, not a year 2000+ 7th gen model.

It's okay and yeah I'm positive I have all the right fuses. However I didn't check the uhh irregular/bulky looking ones. Is it possible I could have blown one of those? All the small ones on the drivers side and under the hood are good to go. I double checked to make sure they're all in the right place. It's almost like there's not enough power going around or something, since the clock dims with the headlights on and my stereo can't seem to handle the input (maybe that uses more power?)

I don't know what I'm doing entirely but I really don't want to have to pay to take it in if the problem is findable.
