Celica Forums General Discussion General help! loosing acceleration and becoming slower

I bought a 1.8 toyota celica 2004 with 148k on the clock, I was driving down the motor way when I noticed the car was loosing acceleration and was becoming slower whilst I jag my foot down on the gas pedal as I pulled over the car then turned off..

As I tried to turn the igniignition back on it just makes the ticking sound like it would but the car itself dosnt turn on please can anyone Help?

It has decent oil levels, and other liquids I'm honestly not sure as to what the problem might be !

How's the battery/alternator?

My batry and alternator are fine it must be something else might it be due too too much oil? My dipstick is broke inside and unable to check the oil level.

Or might it even be the fuel pump ?

Your symptoms sound like you ran it out of oil. If that's what happened, the engine is seized. It might turn over once it cools down, but don't count on it. There is also the possibility the engine overheated. However, if it got hot enough to seize the engine you've still got a serious problem.
