Hey gang - daughter took our 2003 GTS to car wash today and kept the engine ON!!!! Antenna up...bent post, now it won't retract fully. I also noticed that the trunk WILL NOT OPEN whether wireless or key used now. I suspect that since the antenna is unable to fully retract down, there is some sensor which prevents the trunk from opening (?). In any event, I have these two (count 'em..TWO) problems both together. Any advice? HELP!!!

BTW - is it possible to replace just the post if the mechanism still works fine?

Forget that trunk problem....I finally got it open and saw that daughter closed it on the cargo net, causing a temporary jam. Still need to deal with the mast problem though.

Thanks for the posts. I had scanned through the previous posts but hadn't seen anything specific about replacing just the mast on the unit. If the power unit itself is able to be removed and just the mast replaced, the whole rewiring issue is moot. I just don't know if it's a sealed power component. I've seen masts for sale om Amaz. and on eBa. with descriptions indicating that just the mast can be replaced. I don't understand why any rewiring is needed if this is actually the case.

Anyone EVER replace JUST a mast? They are about $20.

Thanks!
