2000 GTS 133K miles (just bought it last Sunday)

I noticed an oil leak at the top right rear corner of the engine as you are sitting in the driver seat.

The red line shows where the oil residue was found. I took photos right after some cleaning so you won't see much evidence...

Oil was found just BELOW the valve cover gasket line, NOT from there.

Have you seen oil leak from there on yours?

Do you know what went bad and the fix was?

What is that thing that bolt is on at the rear side with some oil/dirt residue still remaining on the bolt head?

after lots of looking it is a common place for the Valve cover to leak
the gasket in the corner starts to leak.. should be running down to the power steering pump .. Toyota dealer will replace for about 130.. bucks getting mine done tomorrow as i don't want to mess with it myself but i did find the leak ...

My 2ZZGE engine with 280K miles leaks from the timing chain cover.

Have to remove all pulleys to get at the cover.

Mechanics estimated $300 labor.
