Hi,

This weekend I removed the K&N intake I had on the car and replaced it with the stock airbox as I am trying to get some low end grunt back on the car. I followed the instructions in reverse and all seemed to be ok except for one tube.

The K&N 57i instructions (for removal) say to remove the hose going between the inlet manifold and the airbox and plug it with the provided nipple, so I removed the nipple, put the hose back on and threaded it through another hole in the airbox. It just does not look right though. I have looked around on the forum and although all the intake guides are very helpfull I cant seem to find anything relating to this specific hose. The only pic I could find on it was from the removal of the stock airbox guide. Mine seems to be missing a lower tube that connects onto the blue bit. (I did not do the initial removal and fitment on the K&N)

So far the car is running fine and I have not got any CEL lights on.

So my question is, whats the hose for and am I missing anything?

PS the pic is from Isaac's removal guide

I'm not sure because it's little different from my 2004 gts, you can just plug up that hose to get rid of the vacum noise or plug it back to the butterfly valve that attach to the original air box. you can do more research on that, hope this help
