Hah, hey guys.
Where can I find more information about the turbos you're talking about?
Oh yah, are the turbo kits you guys speak of, fittable in the Celica's current engine space, or modification are needed?
Hmm...

Turbo's and superchargers are two entirely different animals. Turbos have high peak hp but superchargers have a nice even broad power curve.

ya but the turbo has a pretty good power curve since these are small turbos that spool up very quickly, below 2500rpm, so really stuff like turbo lag doesnt really matter. And since we do have high compression, the high compression actually allows for faster spooling.

But I'm confused, which is the better turbo for a GTS I mean I want the extra 100hp to my stock 180hp and then get the extra mods later is that possible?

And here's where you can read more about it. Click on the Dyno sheet link if you don't believe me. Say hello to boost, VVTL-i, and kiss your internals goodbye!! http://www.eiptuning.com/projects/toyotacelicaturboproject.html

turbos are known for more maintenance and sc for dependability. turbos for peak power and sc for no "turbo lag" and broader performance band. you can think of the differences between the aem and injen cai only on a much greater and complex scale.

about how much hp does a sc add? compared to a turbo In another thread, I just posted independent dyno runs from both, an XS turbocharged Celica GTS and a Blitz supercharged GTS. You can check them out here... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_164999_0_collapsed_5__1.html
