I have a 2000 celica gt with 123000km's on it (75000miles)
I just brought it to the dealer to get an oil change and have the automatic transmition fluid changed.
Less then a week later, my car is spitting white/grey (cant tell which) smoke out the exhaust when its idling and driving and their is a faint knocking sound in my engine too. I cant tell if the faint ticking or knocking sound was there before though maybe it is normal?
Any advice or suggestions to what i can do to fix this or what the problem is?
Is it the dealership's fault?

Unfortunately us 2000-2002 GT owners have been cursed with an engineering flaw in our engines pistons. Instead of making proper sized pistons, Toyota put in oversized rings. This causes oil and gunk to build up and burn oil. If you don't take action quick your celica will burn oil. This is probably the white smoke coming out of your exhaust. The metal taping may be lack of oil lubrication cause by oil burning
