i recently painted my dash and now I plan on painting the headliner and visors... what doya guys think? Is this a good idea, bad idea? any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to whore up this thread

Wrap it with fabric not paint it

no one that i know of have successfully recovered the visors...

the visors would be kind of difficult to wrap in seude but if you put your mind to it, you can do it.

I plan on doing the headliner and visors with SEM dye real soon.

In my skewed opinion, suede would not or will not ever look stock and that's what I'm going for.
I have seen the pictures since day one (I was going to go that route when this was being done originally), and it looks like a pimp mobile or something I might get confused with some comfy bedspreads and want to roll around in it.

I probably would by the fabric with all good intentions in wrapping my headliner in it and then just make some pillow cases instead for the winter.

It looks great for some, but for me a little spray dye or fabric dye that will last forever especially for the headliner and visors will be better.

im kinda goin for the stock and simple look... i like the way suede looks but i dont think its for me... im jus gonna paint them

well i only planned on using maybe 3 light coats... i doubt itll be hard and rough because the paint ill b using is made for vinyl and fabrics

You've probably already seen this "How-to" but just reupholstering the headliner seems simpler in my opinion. I mean you wouldn't have to worry about the texture since you'd just be picking up the fabric in whatever texture you want.

I'm with Sophia don't paint. It makes its hard and dry and just doesn't look good...
