Yet another mod question from me. I've been flipping back and forth between a bunch of mods but basically by the start of the new year I plan on adding new seats (corbeau CR1), aluminum console, and springs.

Well the springs might wait till after winter I'm not sure been leaning towards getting them now or jsut waiting till march when the snow will begone but I guess either way eventually I'll have to drive them during winter.

I've been looking at Hotchkis Springs. My question is because of the almost 1 7/8 inch drop in the back will I need to upgrade the suspension because of the quick decay from the drop? Or is it not enough to require it?

If yes well then what if I went with Eibach Pro Kit that is a little closer to 1.2 front and rear? Suspension still need to be changed or would I be ok with just springs?

Finally any suggestions on where to buy? For the Eibach I've seen at $175 on ebay. However I'd prefer Hotchkis but the lowest I've seen is $225 at Hotchkis tuning. Any suggestions would be great.

Hmm actually one other question. Since the back of a celica is higher then the front does the wheel gap look uneven after the Hotchkis install? Or does it look relatively even?

You get a even drop. I have a two finger gap front and back since I have 35 series tires. Here is a pic.

Wow that looks great but it is pretty low. I've been a bit nervous about dropping the car in the front because the buddy club bumper is already very low. But the wheel gap is just bothering me and I'd like to drop the car more in the back so TRD was somethign I was trying to avoid.

I'd really like to do an inch in the front and about 1 3/4 inches in the back. So Hotchkis seems ideal it's just the front is more then I would prefer. My problem is buddy club is one of if not the lowest bumper out there so it leaves me a bit nervous about lowering anymore.

I have the hotchkis springs installed as well. i'll try to take pics of my car (finally) and post em tomorrow. the installation was the eaaaasiest thing in the world...buy a cheap spring compressor from like pep boys (25 bucks) and thats all you need...torque wrench is not necessary. It rides very very smoothly, and the improvement in handling is outstanding! i recommend! i contacted that guy that sells em for 200...claremont toyota i believe...

Twisted do you have any kind of kit?

As for installation I'm not sure how comfortable I would be installing them myself I'm good with stuff like computers and other electronics which I can basically take apart compeltely and put back together again but I've not done any real work on cars. Is there any way while using commons sense that I could a) damage my car? or b) screw up the springs?

Finnally theres a group buy for hotchkis springs over at newcelica.org thanks for the usggestion though.

the Pro-kit sounds like that's what you want if you want more than an inch...but not any lower than hotchkis.

Which is my main problem. I like the pro kit front it's slightly less then the Hotchkis. BUt I absolutly love the fact that Hotchkis springs will even out the car. Such a tough decision and yet very major as I can end up causing a fair amount of damage with the wrong decision. On the other hand I wonder if already as low as my bumper is now will it really require me to drive any diffrent? Basically any hill or steep driveway or whatever I stop just before entering pop it into 1st and angle it big time. So maybe it won't be a big deal for me after all.
