Cool, a forum where I can brag about my old muscle-car from 1983! I was a modder back then (did all my own work too) and didn't know it...
1981 Red Z-28 (loaded - air, cruise, power window, t-roof, mag wheels...)
Last year for the 350 V8
Borg-Warner T4 4-speed manual
Edlebrock Performer Manifold
Edlebrock 650 double-pumper carb
Hi-Power ignition system
Hurst Line Lock.
Rancho GT-3 suspension all around (poly bushings too!)
Some kind of hi-flow exhaust...I don't remember what I did there
240-watt stereo (2 x 120 watt amplifiers, one under each seat)
Scheel micro adjust full contour racing seat
Even though the car eventually ended up leaking every fluid known to man (including gasoline, brake fluid, freon...) I still got a wicked trade-in as a down payment for my brand-new '85 Mustang GT. The car was frikken' fast, and the Rancho stuff kept it flat even going around a corner at 30 mph - amazing since the car must have weighed close to 4000lbs (I nearly lost a toe to some windshield pillar trim
- it was 1/8" steel coated in plastic and I dropped it 'cause it was so heavy
) The two Ford salesmen that took it for a test drive came back white and shaking.
It has a sound that made bike couriers scurry to the sidewalk, kinda like a T-Rex. Lord, I miss that car!!
