the ebrake wire needs to be grounded with the rest of the deck. that should do it. just tie it with the same wire. you should be good to go. a wire will either see 12v or ground at some point. if its cut, it sees neither. ground it and drive safe

Scratching sounds like a grounding problem too... Make sure you have it grounded in a seperate place from the engine or you will get some nasty sounds

are you using factory speakers?

Get aftermarket speakers (not pioneer or sony) and a 4channel amp, and it will sound crystal clear!

I have the Alpine IVA-D300 w/ pluse touch. I love it!

depends what kinda much you listen too.

if you have subs and plan on using them, you could get some infinity kappas. they have really good med to high range sound, but not real good bass (which is what the sub is for) if you dont plan on using the sub, the new Alpine Type-X Componets are very nice (little pricey) Polks seem to have very good quality sound aswell.

I've had infinity kappas before, and they sound awesome, but just didn't have a whole lot of bass, so i got an infinity kappa perfect sub, and they was an awesome setup.

on my celica, i'm planning on getting the alpine type-x componets w/ 4 channel alpine amp, and just do that. it will sound real clear and have decent bass.

cheers, hope i helped a little!

n1 is a lot easier to "hack" then the alpine iva-d300. i had to install a switch because mine like monitors the handbrake and footbrake, so i just have to flip a switch up and down twice to simulate my e-brake on, and then mine is set to go.

bestbuy now sells alpine if your looking for that at all.
precision power (PPI) makes great amps, pheonix gold makes good stuff aswell.

good luck!
