The only thing bad that i've heard about wheelmax.com is that their customer service is horrible. But if you get everything like you wanted and what you need, then I guess you don't have to worry about that.

YES! GET A TRACKING NUMBER!! I had a rim that was lost by UPS, it took me two weeks to finally get them to get the paper work for the credit from UPS and then almost another MONTH before I was sent a replacement!!!

I don't know about wheelmax, my friend bought some rims from them and one of them had gotten dented, they refused to sell him 1 rim so he had to sell the other 3 and buy 4 brand new ones from somewhere else. Another guy bought rims from them and was sent one wrong rim, its been a year already and they still haven't sent him the right one.

I bought from wheelmax with absouletly no problems. They were actually cool to talk to on the phone. I would definitely go back. A 499 special...DAMN. Sounds too good to be true. Mine was 799, I then upgraded my tires to make it 900 shipped. So yea.

I got my rims from wheelmax. I bought 18" Exel TZ-10s. I had no problem. They shipped it out and I received the rims in under 2 weeks. I also paid $80 for this thing they call Road Hazard. What that does is that if you bend/damage a rim, you send it back to them and they send you a new rim for free. The limit is 2 wheels per year. I'm glad I got the road hazard because I bent one of my wheels. I sent it back and should be receiving my new rim some time next week.

No problems at all with wheelmax! thumbsup

I also bought some wheels from WheelMax, but I haven't received them yet (just bought them last Friday). I called Wednesday and was told they shipped Wednesday morning, but they didn't have a tracking number yet. I called today to get a tracking number, and they told me I should have them Monday. They wouldn't give me a tracking number though, even though they ship everything UPS (supposedly).

I've heard horror stories about them, but I decided to take a chance since their prices are so low.

Here's what the local BBB has to say:

Based on BBB files this company has an unsatisfactory record. Specifically our files show a pattern of failure to eliminate basic cause of complaints regarding refunds as promised and a pattern of no replies to customer complaints brought to its attention by the Bureau.

LIKE ME! UPS lost my rim and it took me FOREVER to get a replacement from WheelMax, It even took me two weeks to actually talk to someone instead of just getting transferred around. I had three rims sittin in my hallway for the longest time. frown

the 499 is if you want the tires and rims, not mounted or balanced, and for 205/40r17 i believe like was said before mine was listed for 699, but with mount balance, upgrade to 215/45r17 it came up to 810 shipped, i also got 20 locking lugs to go with the rims
