Ok, so right now I have 2.5" custom piping with some generic muffler (see pic). I've come to the point where I just want to get rid of that big ass muffler and weld something else on the piping. I don't want to buy a whole new exhaust so that means I'm going to have the same 2.5" catback piping, but I want to get rid of that muffler because it is too loud and it looks to big.
Here is my question: If I buy a TRD
style tip (not a muffler) and take off the old muffler and put the tip on there, what kind of noise could I expect (since it's custom piping?)? Will I just go back to the stock noise (no sound) or will it sound weird?
What I want is just a tip so I don't have a big ass muffler and I would much rather go back to having no sound (i've gotten over that "fart can" sound stage) come from my muffler so I was wondering if just welding on a tip would do this...
