What does everyone think of the Kenwood music keg?
Kenwood Music Keg [musickeg.com]
I am considering purchasing one, i know it is a bit spendy, but i like the concept and it has a few more features than the neo version. just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Im getting the 20 GB version i think. it is a mass storage device for MP3's that acts like a CD changer. read through the specs on that web page. it runs between 499-599 at best buy, but i found one new in box on ebay (the larger model) for $420.00.

if you don't mind waiting a few months I say get the eclipse HD, that's if you own an eclispe head unit that is.

it has an auto 5 minute record feature say you were listening to the radio and a good song just ended...you make it save it as it was on the 5 minute memory.

alot of funky features but its a very well designed unit.

I'm not a big fan of mp3 as it destoys music quality but the eclipse mp3 harmonizer the music comes VERY close to CD quality.

alpine tried to do that with their feature which doesn't do much justice for it frown

eclipse all the way.

I wouldn't waste my money. Just get a Ipod like me, I can connect to my stereo and you can flip to any song you want allot faster plus you can use it away from your car.

I agree! Unless a person has money to burn, Ipod seems like a great solution (specially if your HU has an input).

With a stock head unit you can easily connect the Ipod with a cassette adapter. Since I just bought a aftermarket headunit it came with a line input which allows me to connect the Ipod easily. Either way I think the Ipod is better for navigating through your MP3 and is allot more useful if you are going to get a HD based MP3 player.

yes the ipod is insanely good

if you want protability that is.

and then sat radio...some people don't want to pay for music on a monthly basis and then you can do a one time fee and set upr library as you want.

It would be cheaper to go get an MP3 CD player rather than that krg. You can hold nearly 200 songs on one CD
