Engine whine through speakers

I recently installed a Blaupunkt indash reciever and had it professionally installed but now when the volume is really low you can hear like a whinning noise coming though the speakers. When i rev the car it gets worse. It isnt loud enough to hear through the music only when its turned down low or when the track is changing while playing a cd. I tried a new ground and it didnt work. The shop tried putting on some kind of filters and that didnt work either. Any suggestions?!?

it's a ground loop through the alternator. either get a filter for the alternator wire or find a better ground. also check that the receiver isn't grounded out twice.

do you have an stock amp, was is properly bypassed.

What Rice said. If it is an aftermarket amp, 9 times out of 10 it is a bad ground.

Your speaker wires are probably wired through the same place that the power wires are going through. That will definitely create the "whining noise that increases when you press the gas pedal". The way I did my system is that I threw the battery + wire & amp remote wire through the driver side & threw the RCA cables for the 2 amps through the passenger side. No "whining noise" whatsoever. I have no noise whatsoever when listening to 5.1 Dolby Digital or DTS from DVD or listening to Dolby Pro Logic II from the radio, CD or Disc Changer. Separate the power wires from the speaker wires.

also, bloupunkt is crap! I had one for a few tears and eventually it got more and more fucked up as time whent on. First speakers would randomly stop working, then the rears whent out alltogether then the driverside one. eventually i couldnt count on it to even get decent radio reception when the speakers did work. The HU is crap! I took it out and stomped on it with some steel toes and whent to bb and got a pioneer. No problems since thumbsup

Yep, bad ground for sure..gotta love the "professional installation", you'd think they would have checked that..
