I think Toyota's hold up really well as long as you take care of them. Sadly, there will always be some bad ones in the batch, my mom had to have a car taken back under the lemon law. It was one of 1500 made so it took forever for them to get a replacement, but then it ran great for over ten years and survived us kids
I had a 94 celica (I know not the same, but for example ok?
) I took such good care of it that everybody thought it must have been a 99 and that I'd had the engine replaced and the car repainted. When they found out how old it was and that it was still original they'd shit and ask for proof
