The toyota dealership will be installing my new TRD drop springs and a thought came across my mind. I hear all this talk about springs, shocks, camber links ect.
Question is..will I need shocks right away for a TRD drop? Im almost positive I dont, but I wanted to make sure with yall. Thanks!

No, but struts/shocks would eventually die out and the ride would be a little rough and harsh with stock struts

Ok, do yall have any recommendations of what shocks I should get with the TRD drop?
And about how long will my stock shocks last until they die out? Or is it just a natural wear and tear?

Since your getting a trd drop (which is one of the highest drops out there) youll have enough time to save up for some aftermarket struts/shocks.(you can last a year). You can't go wrong with TRD/KYB/Koni struts along with trd springs. thumbsup

I just got my TRD springs installed! I love them!!! The only thing is, is that the toyota dealership couldnt fit my car on the ramp for alignment because of my body kit and drop with underbody neons lol. So im taking it to a tire shop to get it aligned...Cant wait!

Well supposedly they are not the same thing. But when you are buying them for the celica, they refer to the same thing and are used interchangeably from all the websites I have seen. I dont think you should need camber links. At least I hope not with a trd drop.

I heard for TRD springs its good to wait a few weeks to a month for the springs to settle in and then get the alignment done so the tires can wear evenly. correct me if im wrong

Yes you do have to get an alignment BatMobile or else you will have some pretty uneaven wear on your tires. The weight wont be distributed evenly throughout all 4 tires. There is a thread in the install section that talks about it...

The dealership told me to drive it no more then a week without getting my car aligned. So I trust what they say. Who knows, you may be right also...
