I just did my first mod. I put a injen short ram in my 2000 gt. Everything else is stock and im not impressed, I feel like i wasted 300 bucks, my stock air box almost sounds louder. Any 1 KNow why???????????????

The longer the intake tube, the louder the intake noise. That's why SOHC civics sound so loud but don't go anywhere. I can't believe i know that.

you got taken if you payed 300 for a RAI. however you should feeland hear a difference after 4k rpm.

Mine is a GT, And iv heard short rams that are loud as hell, just not a celica yet!!

again i ask auto or stick makes a difference darrens(ricepower) has a injen short ram on his gt and is loud when in the revs!

I've noticed a big difference on my '03 GT auto, I got the same thing, injen SRAI, you do have to take in to consideration that when your engine is idle it won't make any moise b/c it's not sucking in any air. You will only hear the intake above around 3 or 4 thousand RPM's

u tend to need the higher rpms for louder sound

My celica in stick, i hear it a 3 or 4 K rmp but its not loud.

Do you think your trd exhaust is why your intake is loud? Mine is ok but i wouldnt say loud, I was lookin for something you can hear commin down the street.

it will only get that loud at above 5500+rpms when throtle is open more

the more gas you give it the louder it will get, also try and get a new exhaust thumbsup
