Hey all, just wondering if this can be done: In a MK IV Supra, is there any way to swicth the Fuel Gauge and Odometer to what the celica has, an LCD screen. The celica gauges are by far the hottest ever, especially the LCD so just wondering if any way to do it...and if so, how much will it or do you think it will cost. Thanks!

with enough money, anything is possable... so your answer is YES.

find a custom automotive fabricator who specializes in electronics and fiberglass with a long history of projects and what you asking for shouldn't be that far from your grasp thumbsup

Please don't think that I'm a geek or anything!

1. Figure out what the voltage ranges are for the tac & mph dials for their given ranges.
2. Write a vbasic or C++ program
3. use a BASIC stamp interface board as a crossover between the input that went to the old insturment panel.
(A) The interface will take the voltage, let the stamp's software crunch the data, then output it onto a screen. (be sure to sync the frame rate)
(B) Other interface / chips can be used besides BASIC
(C) the OBDII connection can also be used to ger the data from the computer and just re-displat the info on the new screen!
4. Design the physical layout of the screen into the dash!
5. Post the pics!!

My estimation is that it can be done for $200 for raw parts, not counting labor or display screen.

There you go! just yse a touch screen SVGA and you can access it all!
I would run lynix so it would boot fast and nothing else would be on the machine!

i don't think it's worth it, too much BS to change out a couple gauges.
