alright guys, i know there is a tsb about this and its time for me to join the club. I have an 02 gts with just a little over 25k. I'm going to take it to Toyota and explain how the damn noise just gets damn worse. Of course, the sound disappears after its warmed but I should take advantage of the warranty. Have anyone of you taken it to Toyota and have it fixed under warranty with no problems? Also, what if i were to just leave it alone; will this affect me in the future?

No, a TSB is a Technical Service Bullitin. It is to help the Service Dept. out fixing the problem. A recall is when they have to fix the problem wether your out of warranty or not.

When I took mine in, I talked to the dealership owner & he said that as long as it was giving me problems I could come back in. The last time it started it squeaking I used some Prestone lube & it has not started up since.
To keep it squeaking the 2nd time I took it in, I cleaned around the belts with Powerclean. With all lubes & belt dressings off everyone on the lot heard me coming, "potential customers" included.
My yota buying days were on the line so I guess he kissed my a$$ a little. We were strongly considering a v-6 Camry before we bought our v-6 Altima.

just took it to the dealers, apparently all they did was to put some kinda of lubricant oil so it would stop squeakinq. But if it does, they said bring it back and they're going to replace. Hmm..nots so bad. thanks for the info tho.
