The A'pex-i S-AFC (piggy back ecu) is very controversial of whether or not it works on our car. It has worked for other cars. What it does is allow you to change your air fuel ratios by dynotuning. Apparently the stock ECU overrides the apex-i s-afc settings over time.

JD - it does work. You can adjust your air fuel settings with DYNO TUNING. The only problem is that the stock ECU resets/overrides the settings of the S-AFC.

I dont know the first ones but I have the new SAFC II and have had it about 4 month and I love it. I picked up 10.1hp on the dyno and just dynoed again the other day and it still works on my car. My computer has not changed the setting at all. By the way I drive an 01 gts 6spd.
