so i was just fucking around with my car the other day, i NEVER race but there's some backroads on my way to work so i figured i would see if i could launch my car. so i revved up to like 5k rpm's and dropped the clutch and the car just started shaking like crazy, sorta like a sttutering before taking off, i just kept the gas going and withing less than a second or two i took off. what the hell does this mean? my friend said that my rims might be too heavy but they're stock so i doubt that's the reason why. btw i have an 01 6 speed gts and i am completely stock.

Was the engine stuttering or the wheels? Because it could be wheel hop if your tires aren't warmed up or bad roads. If the wheels are spinning and the front dash starts shaking then thats normal. But if its the engine hesitating (spelling?) then IDK.

Wheel hop. Your tires wernt heated up enough to stick to the ground. They were spining and trying to catch the ground causing a bumping. Its perfectally normal and safe. thumbsup

wheel hop.

tough to eliminate. usually due to lack of torque and too sticky tires.

next time dont dump the clutch learn to feather it.

wheel hop is horrible for your tranny.
