Model year brake differences?

Wondering around the net and found this on a car site out of the UK:

http://www.carsurvey.org/review_72979.html

The 2003 has the larger brakes and suspension upgrades as well, this is also an area that many other cars cannot compete in. It simply soaks up back roads.

Was that across all the models or just in the UK and Japan?

The 2003 celica catalog in the U.S. showed the disc brakes up front in the GT grows from 10 to 10.8 inches.
