Earlier tonight I was on my way home from picking up my girl, when I see this thing on the road and I try to go around it (im going at 85mph) and it hits my right front tire. I pull over to the shoulder, and when i look behind me, i realize that there is 12 other cars behind me, i guess i wasn't the only one.
Anyway it cracked my tire, made a hole in it, and my rim is kinda fucked too, but I need to know what you guys think, if the rim still works or do I need to get a new one?

I doubt it, but anyway if it does, i don't know if it's worth it going through them because i'm going to have to pay, some type of deductible or some shit, and it's not worth it, when I can probably get it fixed for like $270

Your wheel is shot, bro -- scrap it. Tell the shop you bought your wheels from what happened and see if they'll hook you up with a good deal.

I wouldn't even bother with the insurance, they won't cover aftermarket wheels. Some sheisty insurance will even jack up your premium if they find out you've got aftermarket stuff.

...in Michigan, there would've been 3 bricks.

let me griev with you, i feel your pain...now whats a bitch isnt that its messed up, its how long it'll take till you get it fixed, a repair alone takes up to 1-2 weeks to fix, GL my friend i know how it feels.

It could be fixed, but the money you'll have to pay will be enough to get another wheel!

Sorry to see that, dude. thumbsdown

Even if it could hold air, I wouldn't want to run on that rim. Could go flat or cause a blowout pretty easy, I think.

I don't think any shop will allow you to mount a new tire on it. It'll make it tough for balancing, and it could be bent enough to allow air to leak out from the tire when it is mounted. You'll probably have to take a loss on this one. You sure insurance won't cover it? Good luck to you!!

You have my condolences!

I have special ordered tires through Wal-Mart. They will warranty anything like that if you buy the road hazard. I bought 2 tires, put them on my trailer, the electric brake stuck on, it blew the tires and they made them good!

See if a road hazard is available for your new tire!
