I just looked at the installtion guide for a hearder. I'm considering putting in on by myself but it looks like a lot of work. I'm wondering if anyone has installed one and how it it went? is it worth just getting it installed by a pro or can i manage this.

Sup. Congrats on the header. I did mine myself. Took some time, but I enjoy working on my car.

Hotshot Headers are a bit confusing to put on. Do you have some experience under the hood? If not, definitely take it to a pro.

How is the hotshot header any more confusing than any other header?

The header is not confusing to put in. It takes a lot of time though. The CAI took me more thinking than the header. The header was just a bitch to get to. But I didn't go throught the bottom like the instructions you read probably told you to do, so I don't know then.

if you don't know what your doing, it's that simple, you take it to a professional.
yes, it's going to cost money in order to get it on, but it's on the car isn't it?

you didnt use a lift? did you just go right through the hood? i herd that when installing headers you need to move the engine. this dosent apply to our cars right?

I KNOW...
i was implying that if you DO NOT know what you are doing, then DO NOT do it at all. Then, it's NOT going to be rewarding it it turns out something goes wrong by accident.

I put the car up on jack stands. I did not move the engine at all either. I removed the valve cover which is very simple to do, just take your time and make sure everything is disconnected. Make sure you have some silicone to put in the corners when you put the cover back on, and a razor blade to scrape off the old silicone.

as long as you can follow directions and reference the install guide, headers should not be a problem because its basiclly a bolt off bolt on mod. and its more rewardiing to be able to say i did it myself.
