Apexi PFC or 55 shot nitrous?

I just recently sold my 97 celica, and is now in search of a 00-01 GTS. The thing I'm going to do is put an AEM or Injen Intake. I forgot which one was good for High end. A TSRM exhaust, I would go with a TPR or TRD but I don't like the tip I like the big canister the TSRM has and it gains decent. I was planning on going 55 shot nitrous, yes its cheap for the power it gives, but will the rods hold up? I hear the 2zz rods are known to be bent? Then I thought of the Apexi PFC along with the Injen CAI and TSRM it would give me about 20+HP? Or am I way off? should nitrous be a better way to do this? \

I'm looking for low 14's high 13's.

don't hold your breathe for 13's even with the nitrous.

with the power fc you'll feel the power all day every day. with the nitrous you'll only get the benefits when you spray.

I have had my power fc longer then almost anyone else N/A and I have not once regretted it.

what you're not understanding is that it doesnt just offer more peak power. it gives you power everywhere, makes the lift transition smoother for better balance, raises your rev limiter and cool things like that. you basically feel like you've got a new car. thumbsup

hey i would just got with the nitrous b/c you will be able to get to the low 14's with it but i dont' know about high 13's with a 55 shot. i have a AEM CAI and a SAFC1 and i run a 14.4. so with a 55 shot you should be able to get a 14.0 if you are an experience driver and have some drag tires.

I'm startign to have second thoughts about nitrous. How reliable is it? Much can I spray before my dies or my rods bend? The PFC is going to be tuned, so it would help the engine run better is that correct?

Yea thats what I was thinking also. More reliable than nitrous. But how long is it going to take an experience tuner to tune the power FC?

I did the tuning on mine myself.

it'll take at least 4-6 hours for a decent tune if they know what they are doing.

5800 rpms is kinda pointless to have lift kick on at. best that we've found is 6,000 rpms. if he is running I/E/power fc and barely pulling mid 14's he prolly needs to learn how to launch. also it's possible his power fc isnt tuned well. no excuse for not hitting low 14's if you drive properly.

Just curious, will the PFC work on a N/A GT? Is there any benefits to get one for a GT?
