i'm wanting to get the reverse indiglo gauges (the ones on ebay) but i've read the write up on the install and it seems like it's kinda a lot to do. i don't know much or anything about all the wiring and whatever else. will i have trouble?

nope thumbsup its really easy if ur jsut doing indiglo gauges. the only thing i am going to warn you about, is when taking off the bezel, there are the 2 connector harnesses in the back, they will be a bitch to take off. I got pissed and used a screwdriver to pry them off wink just be casreful and dont get angry like i did.

Now to power the gauges here is the simplist and most effective way to do it. You are goign to need a "mini fuse tap" only place i coudl find them was discount autoparts. The thing is you need ones that has 2 fuses on it. search the past forms and you will find a pic of the "fuse tap"

Now take this fuse tap and put it in the fuse in the passengerside for the tailights. This way whenever they come on (when ur parkignligths or reg lights come on) your gauges will come on auto. For a good grounding spot there is a metal plate behind the driverside footwell. just attach it to one of the bolts on that thing smile If you ahve mroe quesitons let me know and i am more then glad to help thumbsup

Just finished installing mine today. I'm glad somebody made a post cause I was gonna make a new one. AC Autotechnic (I think, dunno) EL-gauge overlay. Its not hard, just takes time and a lot of patience. I ended up wiring them to the green black striped wire on the back of the gauge face. While I was installing this gauge face over a period of two weekends, I managed to break my clear window, twice. One was one of the clips breaking off when I tried to force the window off. The other time I accidently stepped on it getting out of my car when I was putting everything back today, which broke another clip on the other side. Its a little scratched up, but alright. I'll post pics when I light it up. thumbsup

Words of advice: keep track off ALL your pieces. rofl
You can install without taking the wire harnesses off, but its harder. Thats what I did, it kept knocking in the windshield wiper. I accidently honked the horn a couple times, too. tongue

i did mine, yea it's not the same car, but i have more gauges and some are close making it a lot harder. you have the one face overlay, i had like 6 separate gauges to do, so yea, not to easy. install isn't to bad, so i'm sure it will be a lot easier for you. oh yea, i didnt have a write up to go off either, all on my own. go for it, you have less and instructions, im sure you can pull off the instal easily thumbsup

Did you guys take off the arrows?
Or just clip the gauges in with out taking arrows off?
cuz on my old Subaru I took em off and I could never put them back exactly the same way they were.

lol it was the easiest thing i have ever done. i got them also off ebay, and it took maybe 20 min to do. just unscrew and unclip it all, put the new ones one, connect the 2 thingys again, and then run red wire to battery, and black to ground (metal). thats all i did, but the bad thingy tho is the button. it doesnt fit in out little holes on the left side of steering wheel. i had to use an industial size file to get it to fit, and now it falls back a little. so im gunna go see if i can buy a mount for it, or just make one.

you dont need to take the needs(arrows) off for regualr gauge overlays. the only exception s with the S7 styl egauges liek i have. You can isntall them with the needles on, but they are 3d so the needles thend to get stuck. to fix this you need to pop off hte needles and the puth them abck on but not al the way thumbsup
