ok so i'm watching the local news on tv and every Sunday night they have the "under the Hood" deal put together by Walkertires..so tonight they were talking about tips for buying used car and they mention something about the antifreeze need to change every 2yrs..so is that vital?? radiator flush is pretty expensive..and we need to have it change every 2yrs, as they would recommended..let me know what you guy think..

A coolant flush isn't expensive if you do it yourself. wink

According to the service recommnedations by Toyota, our coolant should be changed every 30K. Assuming an average of 15K per year, that comes to about 2 years.

I think it also depends on what kind of conditions you're in, and how quickly the coolant gets dirty. I know I won't be letting my coolant go more than 30K, because of the intense summers we have here.

There's a writeup in the Installs section and some info in the Tech section. I did it just this past week.

You can also search the site for this, there are plenty of threads with plenty of tips. thumbsup
