Hi there
Some guy tried to sell me silver turn signal bulbs. I found out tho that he paints them himself.
Well, if he can do it, so can I, right? Anyone know what kind of paint this is? the bulb should still flash orange when on offcourse

any auto supply retailer will have clear corners. the problem i ran into is that the 7507 only comes in orange. just get a the clear bulb (can't remember the size) and shave off one of the "prongs" at the end so it fits into the opening

So I need to get the silver/amber bulbs, found them, they cost 25 usd, pretty steep, but very cool

I did that on my Escort for my clear corners. it's easy.
1) get a pair of amber or orange turn signal bulbs.
2) buy a can of silver engine paint (or silver thermo-tec exhaust paint)
3) mask off the pins (or whatever metal contact they may have) on the bulb with masking tape
4) mist a thin coat of the engine paint over the bulb holding the can about a foot away from the bulb. if it looks too speckled, wait a couple minutes, and mist another light coat on the bulb.
5) let the bulbs dry overnight. when dry, remove the masking tape, and install.
the crucial part is that the coat must be thin enough for the light to shine through. bulbs are cheap, so if you mess up, just try it again on another set. When the bulbs are illuminated, the glass will heat up a bit and cure the paint. viola! bulbs that are silver when off, and orange/amber when lit! The perfect cure to "fried egg syndrome". If done right, these bulbs shouldn't discolor, and will last as long as an unpainted bulb.
hope this helps,
