I'd tap it to the fuse box, on the power door locks fuse (blue arrow) tapping on the cig. lighter only works on ACC

[Linked Image]
Red arrow is cig. lighter fuse

[i]ps I tapped my underbody neons to the battery.
the actual pic it's the power source for my footwell neons.

yeah just pull fuse out and then stick it around one of sides and stick it back in. (ghetto way) or you can do like pic above. Or you can take 2 connectors that would connect on a speaker like a 6.5 or so and take a fuse and put it on is end which makes it a in line fuse! All up to you bro. hope it helps Chad

perhaps I have misunderstood what you want to do, however I do a lot of electrical work on my car and am very much against fuse taps, I feel they lack electrical integrity, however this is a matter of personal preference. Perhaps you would consider the option of splicing in an inline fuse? This is as simple as getting an inline fuse set-up and wiring it into the power wire. I feel this is a much more professional method. However, perhaps there was a reason you wanted to tap instead?
