I know the AE86 is called the Hachi-Roku, and the RX-7 the FD3S...so what is the Celica called?2ZZ??

i kno the hachi roku is after the year ae86. Just like if it was ae85 would be hachi go.

As for the rx7 that's the chasis code.

So i guess for the celi it would be the chasis code...got me confused

actually hachi roku is the chassis code. AE86 is the chassis code of the corolla. i forget what S-15 is but it means both S-15 and Strawberry face. And the silvias all have Kouki, Zenki, Onevia, Sil Eighty and other names for them. But those are just describers for the exterior of the car and are only used after the chassis code (i.e. S-14 kouki).

SS-II stands for Super Strut model 2, or the GTS. SS-I is the GT. ZZT-231 is the chassis code, I think for the GTS.

i beleive its japanese name is still just 'celica' thumbsup

acura rsx = honda integra
infinti g35 = nissan skyline

SS-II is probably the name, I just remembered that Gran Turismo does show the Celica under that name. spineyes

ZZ is the engine series (1ZZ-FE or 2ZZ-GE) and T stands for Celica. 231 is the model. Google search Toyota engine codes and you should get more information on this.
