My front tires wore like a bitch over the winter.. Outside is completely bald.. and on the inside middle. Anyone know what this is from.. My car is not lowered so Im guessing camber is out of the issue... I asked a mechanic and they said alighnment and I have a toe in... Anyways what do you guys think... By the way I have an appt for tomorrow for front wheel alignment.

http://www.iapdirect.com/camberfaqs.asp

How does camber affect my tires?

Camber outside or to the extreme limits of the specification will cause tire wear on the inside or outside of the tires. Unequal camber can cause your car to pull to one side.

Why are the inside of my tires going bald?

Negative camber or too much toe-out can cause inside tire wear. Add a low air pressure to the tires and you get an extreme tire wear very quickly.

Yes, an alignment done by a qualified shop would likely solve your tire wear problems, provided there is not something else mechanically wrong with your car, and even then they would be able to spot the problem and advise you accordingly, and if you think they are BSing you get a second opinion.

It's a normal question... It's just I don't like ruining my tires on purpose... I have tire wear problems... I bought 10 tires in the past 2 years... I just thought it was either the tire, or regular wear, I take turns a little fast so I just figured it was that... Then I saw that these new tires wore down to bald in like 3 months... And I said HEYYYYY!!! So it's getting very old. Thanks for your information though...

When they front wheel align your car... DO they take your front wheels off... I need to know before I go in a couple hours because I have my rims on which would cause me to bring the key for them... Can anyone tell me quick..
