I have a 93 Celica GT with 65k miles on it and was thinking of trying out the Mobil 1 synthetic stuff for my next oil change. I've never run a synthetic. Has anyone tried this (especially on a car as old as my 93) and have any input?

upon actually searching the site for other posts on this topic, I think I'm going to go ahead and try it (the buy 3 get 3 Mobil 1 quarts free from Pep Boys is my motivation).

any car enthusiast should be running less than full synthetic. if cost is a concern then get synthetic blend.

older synthetic oils had some problems with brand new engines (would expand the new engine seals) and old engines (leak). the current synthetic oils eliminate that and are safe for any type of engine.
