Celica Forums General Discussion Interior Need Help?

Hello everyone, Ill be intalling my stereo tomorrow (AVIC-N2).I have a 02' GTS. This is where I get confuse. In the audio diagram that Isaac posted for the GTS, it indicates the wiring for an 8 speaker setup. I only have 4 speakers and my two tweeters on the door panel. I consider this two be a six speaker set-up (GT audio setup). 1. Is this the correct diagram I should be using or follow the GT audio diagram? 2. Also I need your help finding the speed signal input wire. What color wire and where located? Thanks everyone.

the 8 speaker setup is as follows:

two 6.5" inch speakers in the doors with 2 4" speakers mounted on TOP the 6.5" speakers. (for a total of 4 speakers)

2 tweeters also in the door panels (toyota counts these as speakers, hooray for marketing )

2 more spakers in the rear.

this gives 8 speakers. the wiring diagrams are the same for both the 6 and 8 speaker setups (really 6 speakers and 4 speakers...tweeters are NOT speakers).

Thanks for the info speed4theneed. Took me whole day to install with-out luck, no sound. I Took everything apart and taking it to circuitcity for installation.

the best thing to do is just rewire everything your own way with better wiring. (amp, speakers, headunit). it extremely time consuming and you take apart almost your whole interior, but it's a much better way.
