so what do you guys think? it came with a small mark on the bottom but I just turned it toward the radio so I can't see it. The company offered to replace it but I live in Canada so it would cost me as much to buy a new one than it would to ship back and pay duty on it again when it came back to Canada again. thumbsdown cry

^^^^ holy shit that looks short!

Very nice shifter Satoshi and Hombre. Personally I like the sphere style better for the Celica. Hombre your looks good though cause it's bigger, the one I had like that was too small, it looked too pointy. thumbsup

Oh yeah, that's like 5 months of our weather here. There's no way I'm gonna scrub those shitty rubber mats when they'll look like that within a week again. They come out near the end of March anyway to put the nice clean carpet back in. Gotta love winter weather! cry

Isaac, I can see through the packaging those NRG knobs use the 3 allen thread approach to fastening onto the shifter...this has not worked for me in the past with 4 different aftermarket products from Billet, Pepboys etc. They all became loose from the heat and vibration, and the allen threads eventually stripped from the constant torquing down.

If someone has a better approach, I'd love to hear it...otherwise I'm convinced the only durable aftermarket shiftknob needs to have the Celi thread pattern (5/16"?) and screw right onto the shifter. confused

yea for the longest time my knob woudl come loose after 5 min of shifting. but the prblem was the thred was to high so i had to take out that little white stopper on the shifter so i coudl lower the knob. now its threaded in and alen wrenched. it says you dont have a SS so i am assuming you havent taken out the little white piece. try it may help. if nto then i am no help wink I was goign to try locktight on the screws before i took out the white thing

ssinserts had a nice chrome/carbon fiber shifter, and it had "universal threading" bushings. A great concept, except the fittings were frikkin plastic! After I torqued it down the metal threads on the Celi's shifter owned the plastic threads. I ended up throwing te $50 knob into the woods after it came completely apart from all the torqueing.

I advised the sllers that the plastic was poorly conceived and engineered, and they denied it was plastic! WTF!! Whatever you call it, it's mega-softer than metal, and the metal won!
