What kind of gain, if any will you receive by removing the resonator on your car. I know it will probably make it louder, which is nice. But are there any power gains to be had?

I removed my off my HKS exhaust...it got ALOT louder and no noticable difference...Now i'm sorta sick of it. I just want my celica to be quiet

Besides horsepower gains I am looking for a little more sound too, but not Kazuma loud. Crap, I downloaded a video of that exhaust last night and I about shit. Sorry about the lanuage but just you guys know I can be a potty mouth.

Also If I remove it will I take a chance of shortening the life of the cat? Or will this mess up anything with emissions at all?

i put revolution muffler with silencer. man is very loud. just to think taking out the resonator, is going to be loud and yur not going to like it, specially the girlfriend lol. just good pick up in the stop light, and how often you do that. good luck
