i can get my hands on this exhaut for a good price, but how is the sound? i'm pretty sure it would be low and deep, but just asking... i don't want anything that sounds the least bit ricey.

I JUST GOT THE EVO 2 EXHAUST AND ITS QUIET. A LOT QUIETER THAN I EXPECTED. BUT IT SOUNDS NICE AND DEEP. I READ AN ARTICLE IN ONE OF THE FORUMS THOUGH-- A GUY SAID HE TOOK OFF THE RESONATOR OR MUFFLER (WHICH EVER YOU PREFER). HE SAID IT SOUNDS LOUDER AND DEEPER. SO I FIGURED I'D TRY IT. YOU COULD TOO. IT LOOKS AWESOME TOO. thumbsup

It's REALLY quiet. VERY near stock. When people say "quieter than expected"... it really is, QUIETER than expected. When i first got it installed, it was like "WTF? where's the sound?" cause the intake>exhaust. But after a couple days, it got a bit louder. It's still quiet but it's noticable though, especially when you start up the car and you're in the 3k RPM range, or flooring it. Either way, i love the exhaust and it's great!

I have the Greddy evo 2 and i wasnt happy with the sound, So i cut off the resonator and put in a straight pipe to replace it. The sound is deep and not loud at all. Not ricey

If the Greddy exhaust that U are getting has no resonator then you will not be disapointed. But if it has the resonator i would cut it off and put a 2.5 pipe to replace that

A TSRM is close to $500 new, right? I wouldn't get the greddy tho, just save up for the TRD, it'll be worth the money in the end.

I don't think the tsrm is very appealing to the eye. it may sound great but it looks cheap to me.

If you remove the resonator from ur Greddy Evo exhaust, you'll lose a lot of backpressure and my celica had no low end torque and you lose power.
