I want to buy a short throw shifter but when I was in my friend erics car it was hard to shift. It felt really stiff.

even tho is stiffer, you'll get use to it in no time. Its worth it. one of the best mod i did. You get faster shifting.

i hear twm is hardest becsue its shortest. I woudl say get b&m, its not as short but easier to shift smile You are going to hear both sides btu it really has to do with what you want. Bm is nto as short as other but is easier to shift. twm is really short so looks better but is a tad harder. So its up to you smile

well I dont want a really short one because then my arms wouldnt reach when I go into either 1st 3rd or 5th and I dont want to hit the e-brake handle when shifing into 2nd 4th and 6th. Maybe im just thinkin too much about it...

B&M it is. Thanks guys thumbsup

Every thought about TRD? I hear they give the smooth stock feel and isn't as short as the TWM. I think 40% shorter than stock.

B&M you can pick up for $120 (or so) with new bushings, knob and lube included

TWM runs around $ 130 without bushings or new knob, $223 with the new knob but still no bushings

TRD runs $130 but does not fit all gen7 celicas also does not come with new bushing or a new knob

TRD doesn't fit the cars manufactured after May of 2001
the shift gates were changed, but the rod can be swapped out...just not the entire assembly

just get B&M, i love it, so easy and is awesome

B&M knockoff's from Megan Racing is $45-50 shipped. Go to google and type in "megan racing short shifter". It's EXACTLY like B&M with aluminum bushings included. You only need to buy lithium grease yourself but that's like 3bucks.

my b&m shifter came with everything except the knob, but the stock leather knob looks way better than a metal one anyways...very easy install, only bad thing is the stiffness, but that goes away in a week or so...b&m is a good shifter...

I got my B&M last week and it too didn't come with the knob. Oh well I have a authentic TRD knob. Shifter looks and feels great.

So the B&M has the shortest throw? And can't you adjust the height when you install?

Partially correct, our shifter is on sale for $132.95 right now including shipping but we do include aluminum bushings with every one of our 7th gen Celica kits. The bushings actually make a huge difference in shift feel and remove virtually all of the "play" from the shifter. You can purchase them here: http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshifters/toyotashortshifters/celicashortshifters.htm

If you have any questions you can reach me anytime at sales@twmperformance.com.

Thanks,
