I have the urethane Kaminari Kit on my celica and it is amazing. Makes the car really stand out but keeps a "clean" look at the same time

it really depends on where you live. I heard polyurethane tends to warp if you live in drastic temperature changes. I live in Rhode Island where the summer sometime reaches 100 degrees and the winters go low as negative 10 degrees. I also heard paint doesn't stick very well on polyurethane. I have a couple of friends who had polyurethane add on body kits on some of their vehicles and the color on the kit changed tone after time.

However, the fiberglass kits and the polyurethane kits that Kaminari makes supposedly are very good quality. They claim that their polyurethane kits never change shape or form, even in extreme weather. I personally own the fiberglass version of their kit and I could vouch for their product. The paint looks great and still looking sharp. Hope this helps!

Also, fiberglass tends to crack and polyurethane tends to be bend when pressure is applied. However, depending on the damage of the kit, fiberglass can be repaired easily where as the polyurethane is not easily repairable. From what I hear, when a polyurethane kit bends the paint tends falls off in larger portions, because the kit bends but the paint doesn't. Where as the fiberglass, again depending on the impact, would lose paint as well, but it won't chip off later on in patterns.

I live in Oklahoma, gets desert hot, arctic cold...but my baby will never see any of it in the garage. Kaminari will tell U that installation should be done by a trained pro, if the paint is done proper, won't be a problem. Kaminari also gives life-time warranty for any bending or shifting. So long as I buy from Kaminari USA, I should be good to go.

Veilside and other big companys only use fiberglass, they both have their points. I like fiberglass more because its repairable. Paint damage is localized and not spread from a surface crack on urethane. Its like bending a bondo scraper to get the putty off. Urethane will stand a little curbie more than a fiberglass ever will, but if you manage to hurt the urethane then your gonna need $$ to repair. So I guess it really comes down to personal choice. Lesson here is dont hit stuff with either urethane or fiberglass
